TCLT presents at ICICE7 as Joint Organizer

Invited as a joint organizer, John Chang, Jun Da, Scott Grant, Tianwei Xie, and De Bao Xu (in alphabetical order), five representatives of TCLT attended the 7th International Conference on Internet Chinese Education (ICICE7) from June 17-19, 2011 in Taipei. Each of the five representatives presented a paper, chaired one, two, or three panels, and together organized an 80 minute-symposium on TCLT, Technology and Chinese Language Teaching in the U.S. at the conference.

This is the formal joint-conference between TCLT and ICICE, though personal attendance to each other’s conferences has happened for a long time. TCLT was identified as joint organizer both on the web site and on the programs of ICICE7.

There were over 670 people attended ICICE7, mostly from Taiwan, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and North America as well as other countries and regions. Scholars from mainland China also attended the conference.

TCLT will invite ICICE as a joint organizer to send representatives to present papers and organize panels at TCLT7, the 7th International Conference on Technology and Chinese Language Teaching in the 21st Century to be held at University of Hawaii, May 25-27, 2012.
